Bay County Conservation and Gun Club
Five Stand is a type of shotgun sport shooting similar to sporting clays, trap and skeet. There are five stations, or stands where each shooter will shoot 5 shots before moving to the next stand. Once the shooter has shot at all five stands, the round is complete.
Our 5-stand has nine different shots or traps that can include a rabbit or chondel. The shooter will be presented with overhead, outbound, inbound and crossing shots. Look out for the waskley rabbit, heh heh heh...
In December 2020, work was completed on our new wireless system that will enable easier use of the field. Also, the long anticipated field lighting was completed (look for pictures below), and 5 stand can now be shot at night and under the lights!
Further out, we are looking to add a heated shooting stand for all weather enjoyment!
